A DREARY RAINY WINDY DAY.

Day 15 – Not much going on today, we’re just hunkered down in the wind and rain. This morning it was 40 degrees; the high today was 47 degrees. We did some paperwork, washed our hair, read our books, and did some prep for leaving tomorrow morning. We’ll be heading inland to a different campground where we’ll find farm lands & rolling hills, and just maybe sun and less wind. Originally we’d wanted to continue up the coast along the Bay of Fundy where the tides rise and fall even more, but those campgrounds weren’t open yet for the summer season.

ST. ANDREWS.

Day 14 – It was cold & blustery with the wind this morning, 42 degrees. It got light out an hour later this morning due to the time change making it noticeably different for us and the kitties. We’ll be thrown off balance again with the time change when we reach Newfoundland. This campground is large with 217 campsites. This time of year there’s only a few sites occupied. They fill up in the summer with the oceanfront campsites and their proximity to town, so for now it’s fairly quiet. There’s more Deer in the campground than people; they are often outside grazing.

Day 13 – It was 47 degrees this morning, partly cloudy & breezy. Rob’s time at his morning constitutional was uneventful. He was hoping to see bald eagles before we left for Canada, but there weren’t any. He did see a Bufflehead, though, one of our favorite ducks.
