Day 138 – We were nervous during the night about the wind & the potential for trees to come down. It’s pitch black at night unless it’s clear out with a full moon. The forecast was for 25 MPH sustained winds with gusts to 50 MPH. I woke up around 1 a.m. The wind was howling & it was raining hard. The power hadn’t come back up. We were getting heat from propane, so the lack of electricity was not an issue in that respect, but the kitties had lost their warm electric pads & were awake and unhappy. Except for Luna who was asleep under the covers.

Day 130 – Still windy, 20 MPH winds expected today, 38 degrees this morning. There were very dark clouds rolling in when we left for more antiques shopping. It took a long time for our feet to get warm in the car. Around Lubec, the fall colors are mostly past peak with the wind blowing the leaves off the trees. On the way north on Route 1, there are still some pretty colors.
