Day 152 – Very windy, but sunny, 30 degrees at 7:00 this morning. Rob could only sit out at the pad for a short time. He’d wanted to stay out there longer since this’ll probably be the last time for this trip. Guessing that with the wind chill, it must be about 20 degrees out. Rob put on four layers of clothing and went out to work. He loaded the tools & the chipper/shredder into the back of the car. He took down the tent & packed it up. It’ll be busy today with us getting ready to leave. Rob takes care of the outside & I do the inside prep. But first, there’s brunch!

Day 151 – Windy & raining this morning, 39 degrees. We were dragging a bit from yesterday. We drove in to Lubec to visit the post office to let them know we were leaving soon & to stop mail delivery. The ground has become saturated with all the rain; the puddles are large & muddy. If this moisture keeps up, it’s going to be a snowy winter here. Better than a drought!

Day 149 – Machias day and it’s sunny, a beautiful day for a drive. It’s looking more like winter is coming now. Although there are so many evergreens here that don’t lose their foliage in the winter, there are enough birches, maples, & oak trees, etc., that things do look more barren out.

If it’s not foggy, we can see some things we couldn’t see before – like houses that’d been hidden from the road previously.

Day 147 – Thank you to everyone who has been working so hard leading up to this election! And thanks to those of you for working today at the polls, making phone calls, and going door-to-door.  Good Luck, JEN!

It started raining around midnight last night. At 7 a.m. it was raining, windy, and 50 degrees. It rained all day & we stayed inside all day. Caught up with some things, took a nap, played some Backgammon (with Rob winning all the games), etc.. The high was 52 degrees; it was a bit windy. The girls do enjoy it when we stay inside with them all day.

TED C. – HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We hope you get a trip to Oak Island for your birthday!

Day 146 – Cloudy, 32 degrees this morning at 7 a.m.  The 40-lb. propane tank ran out of fuel early this morning. It was cold in the RV when I got up; the cats were huddled together. Rob was out at the Harbor View pad. When he got back, he disconnected the tank & put it in the car. We went to Lubec to run errands & get the tank refilled.
