Monday, Day 132 – Windy, 30 degrees, mostly sunny, 7:50 a.m. The water’s moving rapidly in the Harbor with the wind. No sign of the lobster boats. Rob went out with his coffee, took a walk around, came back in with his hands frozen. I know because he had to put them on my neck to show me how cold it was.
We stayed inside most of the day, very windy, a high of 42 degrees. Rob did go outside briefly to work on the holder for the sign bracket, preparing it for the attachment to the post. Too cold for me with the wind chill, I stayed inside & did some ordering online for a few things we need to get before we leave. Not much happening here today!
Tuesday, Day 133 – Not windy this morning for the first time in almost two weeks. Partly cloudy & 28 degrees at 8 a.m. When it “warmed” up to 36 degrees, Rob went out & spent several hours bringing gravel/dirt fill from where it is stored near the road, by wheelbarrow, to the trail that runs along the cliff, leveling & filling in where the path had settled & become slanted towards the downhill side of the cliff. Several days ago, he had put down new logs along the outer edge of the trail; now he was filling it in again to make the path level.
While Rob was working outside, Michael was taking Bella for a walk & they stopped by for a visit. Rob took them down the Harbor View Trail to the end of the trail to show them the area he’d been working on. Then Simon & Diane came by & he took them all on a tour of the trails. After lunch, Rob went back out & brought down several loads of gravel to begin filling in the retaining wall area. The high today reached 46 degrees; it got windy again in the late afternoon.
Wednesday, Day 134 – It was raining & windy all night. At 7:30 this norning it was 40 degrees. The rain continued on & off throughout the day, quite dreary out. We stayed inside, caught up on a few things & read our books. We made Margaritas & had Fish Tacos for dinner. A tough day, LOL. The high today was 39 degrees, rainy, windy at times.
