TRAVEL DAY
From: North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA Campground, New Harris, NS.
To:Harbour Light Campground, Braeshore, NS.
Day 170 – We were going to stay at Harbour Light Campground for two nights, but Tropical Storm Phillippe had other plans for us. We changed our plans to beat the wind and rain by moving on to NB tomorrow instead of staying another night in NS. All Done Camping in NB is located out of the predicted high wind path of the storm.
MORE RELAXING
Day 169 – Just spending one more day relaxing before we start our drive back home. Vicki is feeling better each day. We will come back to Nova Scotia again to start up where we left off!

Day 168 – We are doing lots of relaxing! The family unit is back together. We got my medications on a schedule, and we had a lobster lunch provided from the campground owners, Bonnie and Jason, to celebrate my return. What a wonderful day!

Day 167 – When Rob came in this morning, there was no one in the bed! He looked around and found me walking around the nursing station.

Day 166 – I didn’t sleep well last night. I got up by myself a couple times and walked around the nursing station. I am getting stronger and doing better with my speech, reading and writing. I’m still not hungry, but each day I am able to eat a little more. I was sitting up in a chair all day because I couldn’t stand being in bed. I got a new doctor as a new week-long shift came on duty. I should get the results of my cardiac monitor tomorrow, but so far they have seen no issues.

Day 162 – It was 50 degrees out this morning. We got up early to make it to the ferry terminal on time. The girls are not happy. They don’t like ferries! They prefer the road to the ocean!

To:North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA Campground, New Harris, NS.
Day 26 – After a one-week stay at Harbour Light, we are traveling today to a different campground in Nova Scotia for a one-night stay. We enjoyed Harbour Light, and the next campground is also one we’ve been to before, a KOA campground with a great view over Bras d’Or Lake and the bridge that crosses over the lake. We will be about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal and the ferry that will take us to Newfoundland tomorrow. We weren’t the only ones leaving today. All the campers that arrived during our week-long stay are leaving today.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY EVERYONE INCLUDING THOSE WITH PETS!
Day 25 – It had stopped raining this morning when we got up – 40 degrees & very windy. We watched some of the people camping near us pack up and leave; the weekend is ending. This included a near miss when campers decided to drive their travel trailer between us and the camper parked next to us, rather than using the road provided (which did not travel between any of the parked vehicles). Duh! We sat inside and watched while others handled it by yelling “watch out” and “whoa” and “stop” at each other. A day in the park!
It may not be raining, but it’s a pretty nasty day out. It’s after lunch now, 48 degrees, and the weather isn’t getting any better. We’ll probably not be going out for a drive.
