MORE RELAXING
Day 169 – Just spending one more day relaxing before we start our drive back home. Vicki is feeling better each day. We will come back to Nova Scotia again to start up where we left off!

Day 168 – We are doing lots of relaxing! The family unit is back together. We got my medications on a schedule, and we had a lobster lunch provided from the campground owners, Bonnie and Jason, to celebrate my return. What a wonderful day!

Day 167 – When Rob came in this morning, there was no one in the bed! He looked around and found me walking around the nursing station.

Day 166 – I didn’t sleep well last night. I got up by myself a couple times and walked around the nursing station. I am getting stronger and doing better with my speech, reading and writing. I’m still not hungry, but each day I am able to eat a little more. I was sitting up in a chair all day because I couldn’t stand being in bed. I got a new doctor as a new week-long shift came on duty. I should get the results of my cardiac monitor tomorrow, but so far they have seen no issues.

TRAVEL DAY

To: North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA Campground, New Harris, NS.
Day 162 – It was 50 degrees out this morning. We got up early to make it to the ferry terminal on time. The girls are not happy. They don’t like ferries! They prefer the road to the ocean!

TRAVEL DAY
From: Harbour Light Campground, Braeshore (near Pictou), NS.
To:North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA Campground, New Harris, NS.
Day 26 – After a one-week stay at Harbour Light, we are traveling today to a different campground in Nova Scotia for a one-night stay. We enjoyed Harbour Light, and the next campground is also one we’ve been to before, a KOA campground with a great view over Bras d’Or Lake and the bridge that crosses over the lake. We will be about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal and the ferry that will take us to Newfoundland tomorrow. We weren’t the only ones leaving today. All the campers that arrived during our week-long stay are leaving today.
NEWFOUNDLAND TO NOVA SCOTIA.
Day 165 – We were not looking forward to leaving Newfoundland. It’s been an amazing experience. If there’s one thing we’ve learned with this RV traveling, it would that the weather controls everything. This certainly held true in Newfoundland & Labrador! We picked a decent day to travel by ferry to Nova Scotia. That was done in advance because you have to make reservations. We lucked out that the conditions were good on our travel day. When we crossed over from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland last May, it was very cold, windy & foggy. This time we could see outside the windows, and weather conditions were much better.

Day 23 – We woke up to some sunshine this morning & not so many clouds, 43 degrees, and windy. Really pretty looking out over the water! A Bald Eagle flew back & forth and the Bonaparte’s Gulls were back, too. We packed up and departed Harbour Light Campground at 10:20 a.m.
