BEGINNING OUR DRIVE HOME

TRAVEL DAY

From: North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA Campground, New Harris, NS.

To:Harbour Light Campground, Braeshore, NS.

Day 170 – We were going to stay at Harbour Light Campground for two nights, but Tropical Storm Phillippe had other plans for us. We changed our plans to beat the wind and rain by moving on to NB tomorrow instead of staying another night in NS. All Done Camping in NB is located out of the predicted high wind path of the storm.

157 miles (3:30) 66933-67090
Cumulative travels in the RV from 04/20/2023 to 10/06/2023 4,263 miles, 62827-67090

We departed North Sydney, NS at 11:20 a.m. It was 70 degrees, mostly sunny. A gorgeous day. We arrived at Harbour Light Campground at 2:50 p.m. It was 77 degrees and sunny.

Because we were only staying one night ,we didn’t get our usual water view site. They put us in a pull thru site in the woods, which was nice. They’re getting ready to close for the season and there weren’t many campers in this loop. We had site 60, pull thru with full hookups.

Of course when we arrived, the steps didn’t extend from the RV so Rob had to get under the RV and fix that before setting up.

The storm is expected to hit this campground hard tomorrow and that is why we decided to not stay another day.
