VERY SUNNY & WARM.
Day 18 – Warmer this morning, 41 degrees; the sun is shining & it’s breezy. Pixie is lying on the bed staring outside, waiting for her Chickadee to show up. Rob heard the bird but we never did see it today. Sad to disappoint the ever-hopeful Pixie.
Again, it was such a beautiful day that we decided not to take a sightseeing drive. We’ll be coming back here again in October on our way to Maine, so maybe we’ll take that drive then.
After lunch we sat outside with our books. What a gorgeous day! We continually hear Roosters, Cows, and Sheep in the distance. We figured we must be close to a farm. We walked over to the other side of the campground, but didn’t see one. A Bald Eagle swooped down, followed closely by two louds Crows. They chased the Eagle away. No rest for the birds of prey. The high today was 73 degrees!
Tomorrow morning we leave for Nova Scotia and a campground by the water. We’ll definitely see plenty of birds there, but probably due to its location, it will be colder and windier. No bugs yet, at least.
