MEANWHILE IN BELFAST.
Day 119 – “Meanwhile in Belfast” is the name of an excellent pizza restaurant in Belfast, but unfortunately it wasn’t open last night. Looks like we’ll miss it this visit. Rob missed his time at the cliff this morning, too.

Day 118 – We got up at 6:30 a.m. It was 54 degrees and sunny. Rob went to the cliff for the final time this season. After a little relaxing coffee time, we packed up the final items. We were sad to say good-bye one last time to our land. We pulled the RV and tow car out to the road where it was level, hooked up the Honda to the RV, and locked the “gates” Rob made on the entrances to the land. He did a great job.
TRAVEL DAY – ON TO OUR LAND.
Day 8 – It was 49 degrees this morning at 6:30 a.m. & partly cloudy. We’re looking forward to getting to the land. The last time we were there it was mid-November. We think our land is the best campground we’ve ever been to. Grin.

Day 7 – It was sunny & breezy, 56 degrees, at 7 a.m. this morning. We went in to Belfast to pick up sandwiches for lunch, planning to take them with us on a long drive to try & get more house ideas. First we went to Chase’s Daily. This place is a favorite of the locals & tourists, known for its sandwiches & baked goods; the line was clear around the block. It must be good! We didn’t want to wait in line, COVID & all. Instead we drove to another sandwich place we’d read about, Bell the Cat, also a town favorite. Grabbed a couple of sandwiches and headed east to Unity, looking at houses along the way.
Day 6 – At 7 a.m. it was 61 degrees and foggy. The fog had rolled back out to sea by 8:30; it’s going to be a beautiful day. It rained some last night, less humidity today – and sunny.
ONWARD TO BELFAST.
Day 5 – It rained most of the night. At 7 a.m. it was 66 degrees, cloudy & humid. It’s a travel day, but we don’t have far to go, from Freeport to Belfast. Check-in at our next campground isn’t until after 1 p.m., so we have plenty of time to relax & hang around here. The cows were put out to pasture early this morning, and we’re watching them from the front windshield; they’re a bit frisky. The cats are not impressed.

Day 4 – It was 48 degrees and partly cloudy this morning when we got up. We hate to leave; it’s really nice here, but today we are driving to our land, way down east Maine. We haven’t been there since last August. When we left there last, we’d just had work done on the land to put in a new clearing closer to the cliff’s edge overlooking the water. We’d only been able to camp there two nights to try out the new RV pad before we had to leave.

Day 3 – It was 57 degrees and sunny at 7:45 a.m., supposed to be much cooler today, plus we’ll be heading farther north along the coast. We’ll be going to Belfast, ME to one of our favorite campgrounds, Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort.
