Day 6 – At 7 a.m. it was 61 degrees and foggy. The fog had rolled back out to sea by 8:30; it’s going to be a beautiful day. It rained some last night, less humidity today – and sunny.
Many campers are leaving this morning. We watched as the parade of large, fancy RV’s drove by. It’s been fairly quiet. We wonder what the next batch will bring when they arrive for the Holiday.
We’d originally planned to visit two home building companies today: GO Logic, one of our original favorites, and Brightbuilt Homes, a modular house company. We are now doing neither of these visits. We’d love a GO Logic home but we can’t afford them, and Brightbuilt couldn’t get down our driveway, it’s too narrow. So instead, we spent most of the day driving around residential areas looking at homes, their designs & color schemes from the outside. After driving around Belfast and south to Northport and Lincolnville Beach, and inland into the hills, we drove back to the RV for lunch. Back out again, we went north driving through Searsport, Stockton Springs, to Sandy Point. Back at the RV we sat outside until around 5 p.m. Gorgeous out, the high today was 81 degrees; not a cloud in the sky.
We went to Young’s Lobster Pound for dinner, eating outside at the dock. This is a very popular spot and normally we would have waited in a long line, especially on a Friday night of a holiday weekend. Originally planning to take our dinner home with us, they weren’t busy & had empty picnic tables outside, so we ate there. Everyone was wearing masks, except when eating. We’d definitely go back to Young’s Lobster Pound again.

Back at the campground, we sat outside until almost dark. The campground had filled up again, but it was still amazingly quiet. No complaints here.
