Day 20 – It started raining very hard again right after I wrote the blog last night and said the rain had slowed down. Honestly, we’ve never had it rain this hard for so long while we were camping. At least we know now that there are no visible leaks in the RV! Watch out NY if this comes up your way since you so recently had flooding.

Day 19 – It rained at a steady rate last night and continued all day. In the afternoon it was really coming down for hours, starting to rain a bit less around 7 p.m. It was also quite windy earlier in the day. Even though it was a Friday and campgrounds usually get busy then, very few campers came into this Loop. We didn’t hear much of the barking dog since the windows were closed all day and the combination of wind and rain on the roof was pretty loud in itself.

Day 18 – We slept very well last night; woke up to sunny skies and 50 degrees. The girls thought we’d be leaving again for the day, but they were wrong – we ALL were leaving together. It must be confusing for them……

Day 17 – We spent most of the morning with the girls, knowing we might be getting back to the RV a little later this evening. It was a beautiful, but windy, day (until we got to the Refuge and wanted to take some pictures, LOL, but the sun did come out occasionally from the clouds that had formed).

Day 16 – We had a little time this morning with the girls before leaving for Easton. It rained most of the night and was windy. They were a little spooked by the wind. We hate to leave them and our tiny home on wheels, but they do get lots of sleep when we’re not here. Boredom should be setting in soon, though.

Day 15 – The campground was very quiet last night and we slept well. The only campers we could see anywhere around us left this morning. Weekdays are the best! We were up and out the door without hanging around, for a day in Easton, MD, arriving at Gail’s house a little after 10 a.m. It was warm and humid. Rain is expected later.

Day 14 – We were surprised by some rain last night. This morning it was 52 degrees and cloudy. Our destination today was Martinak State Park in Denton, MD. We didn’t have too far to travel. We departed Trap Pond State Park, along with most of the other campers going home from their weekend camping adventures, and waited in line to dump tanks. It was 11:55 a.m. when we left the park, 60 degrees and cloudy.

Day 13 – The children running around and the yipping dogs began before 8 a.m. and continued all day. We went off to the Bald Cypress swamp and had a wonderful paddle. It was quiet there, and very beautiful, one of the best paddles we’ve ever had.

Day 12 – The campers with the two loud, barking dogs extended their stay through the weekend. Oh well. As it turned out, we were gone all day, and when we got back to the RV it was almost dark and the campground was full. Full of barking dogs & children running around screaming. Really, I am completely aware this is what camping is all about particularly on a busy weekend. Just doing my own kind of barking, LOL.

Day 11 – We’re actually going to leave Pennsylvania today. This time we decided our route beforehand! It was 54 degrees at 7:15 a.m. We didn’t relax much this morning, preferring to get on the road earlier since in leaving PA, campground check-in times become earlier which is just fine with us.
