MORE EASTON.

Day 16 – We had a little time this morning with the girls before leaving for Easton. It rained most of the night and was windy. They were a little spooked by the wind. We hate to leave them and our tiny home on wheels, but they do get lots of sleep when we’re not here. Boredom should be setting in soon, though.

In Easton, the skies were still dark and threatening rain, but it never happened. Remaining windy, though, the temperatures had cooled significantly. We took Gail to look at mattresses. We started at Sleep Number expecting to be going to several stores, but after a couple of hours at the store with some help from an excellent salesman, she was able to find a mattress that we all feel will be perfect for her.

We had a late Subway lunch back at her house and watched more “Ted Lasso”, preparing for the evening when we’d be having dinner with several of Gail’s friends and coming back to watch two more episodes. Anyone who has watched this show is familiar with the biscuits in the pink box. Gail had found a recipe for said biscuits and we made a batch to serve during intermission between the two episodes. It was a surprise for her two guests. Meanwhile, Lacy was being cute and getting all the attention she wanted. It was a fun day.

Back at the RV later yesterday evening, the cats were starving for attention, too. It was cool and windy, so we all cuddled together and got kitty love. Tomorrow we’re going to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, another thing we always do when we’re here. We’d planned to go bike riding through the Refuge, but if it remains this windy, the biking won’t be happening, but the car tour will.
