TRAVEL DAY

From: Beaver Dunes State Park, OK.

To: Sanford-Yake Campground, Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, TX.

Day 67 – It was 25 degrees this morning when we got up. BRRR! We departed Beaver Dunes State Park after dumping tanks at 9:55 a.m. It was still quite cold, 29 degrees, and partly cloudy with very little wind. We left Oklahoma today after almost three weeks puttering around in this State, and we enjoyed it here.

MEEP……MEEP.

Day 167 – Soon after we got up this morning, a large bird was scurrying around the campsite – a very large bird with a long tail. So he didn’t scare it away, Rob took pictures through the RV windows. Meep, meep, meep; yep, it was a Roadrunner. They are actually very pretty.  And where was Wiley Coyote? Maybe we’ll see him later!

TEXAS.

Day 166 – We were up by 7:30 and the wind was back. 24 degrees and a few clouds. We had planned to explore the State Park and take a hike, but after checking the wind forecast, we saw it was going to get worse out and remain that way until Sunday. We decided to move on rather than deal with the wind for 2 days. We could hopefully come back here another time to explore.
