BURRO CREEK 5.
Day 117 – It was even colder this morning when we got up. The water spigots at the campground were frozen. So was part of the Creek. We had plenty of propane so our tanks inside the RV did not freeze. YAAA!

Day 116 – Another cold night but we had enough propane to keep us warm. Without the internet/weather forecast, we just wait to see what’s going to happen. All in all, today was warmer than yesterday with full sun and little wind.

Day 115 – We woke up early this morning; it was very cold in the RV. We’d run out of propane in one of the small tanks. Rob went outside & switched to a different tank. He checked the thermometer outside – it was 23 degrees. Lucky the pipes didn’t freeze.

Day 114 – Today was very windy. Before the winds started Rob walked down to the Creek and got some pictures. All day we saw no birds or other wildlife; they must’ve known the weather was changing.

Day 113 – We are glad we came back here again. It’s very quiet and the scenery is beautiful. But mostly, there are lots of critters to watch. At any given time you can look out the window and see a Hummingbird at the top of a bush or tree. It’s fairly easy to hike down to the bottom of the canyon where various Ducks are floating on the creek.

Day 112 – We have NO signal here at Burro Creek. Nothing. Nada. So I’ll just type away, and Rob will process the pictures and send whatever we have when we go somewhere where we can get a signal. If we remember correctly from the last time we were here (2018), signals are available about 10 miles south of the campground at the top of a hill.

WE STILL CAN’T MAKE UP OUR MINDS!
Day 143 – Wow, 29 degrees this morning, and we didn’t realize that we left two ceiling vents wide open all night. Brrrrr. It’s a travel day and we’ve changed our minds yet again. Who knows where we’ll end up!
LAZY BONES.
Day 142 – 32 degrees this morning, a few clouds, mostly sunny. Rob was up at sunrise, took a walk down into the canyon to the creek, and took some pictures. The girls do like it here now and have settled in. We sat outside in the morning sun as it warmed up. Most of the campers were leaving today.
WE JUST CAN’T MAKE UP OUR MINDS!
Day 141 – Beginning of Week 21. Rob was up at 6:15 a.m.; I got up at 6:45. 44 degrees and sunny, but a little haze. We didn’t want to hang out too long because we had the potential of a long drive ahead of us today. This was a really good campground, and the environment here was excellent for us to unwind. We really appreciated being so close to the NWR since we visited so many times. We hope to find more of the same.
