THE MAJESTIC REDWOODS.
Day 165 – Last night when Rob was attempting to upload yesterday’s pictures to the blog post, we discovered that we didn’t have enough signal for an internet connection. Therefore, unless the signal picks up, we won’t be able to post the blog until we leave here. The way things stand now, it will probably be Sunday or Monday before we can send the blog out.

To:Panther Flat Campground, Smith River National Recreation Area, Gasquet, CA – Howland Hill Scenic Drive, Redwood National & State Parks.
Day 164 – We were up early this morning, really looking forward to our next days of camping. We will be near the CA/OR border at some of the most beautiful scenery that California has to offer. We’re returning to do the absolutely most scenic redwood drive and hike, and in different locations, some of the most beautiful areas in California.
BEAUTIFUL NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
Day 163 – We spent the day driving to some of our favorite places in this area. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit the Humboldt Botanical Gardens, which was really nice the last time we were here.

Day 162 – Today just happens to be the cats 8th birthday, and it’s been the most wonderful eight years! Happy Birthday to our babies! Long may you ride with us.

From: Happy Time RV Park, Dunnigan, CA.
To: Bushay Army Corps of Engineers Campground, Lake Mendocino Recreation Area, Ukiah, CA.
Day 161 – Today is a travel day and it will be another one-night stopover. We departed Happy Time at 10:25 a.m. It was 63 degrees, sunny, and quite windy. Not too windy to travel, though. We arrived at our destination at 1:20 p.m. after stops for gas and propane in the RV and for a lunch break.

Day 160 – The calendar says today is the first day of Spring; that is definitely obvious here! It’s much greener now than it was when we got here just a few days ago. So, Happy Spring everyone!
A RAINY DAY.
Day 159 – It began raining this morning and rained on & off for most of the day. The high today was a sweltering 51 degrees, ho ho. It certainly hampered the shenanigans of the young weekend campers who ran around like crazy in between the periods of rain.

Day 158 – We slept well last night. No traffic noise, quiet campground (it’s not the weekend yet), happy cats birdwatching from the windows of the RV, and waking up to fluorescent green shining from the new spring growth in the trees.

From: Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, CA – Cosumnes River Preserve & Staten Island Preserve.
To: Ironhorse Campground in Glory Hole Recreation Area at New Melones Lake, Tuttletown, CA – Soulsbyville.
Day 157 – The campground cleared out this morning as usual, and we were one of those RV’s that left. Our journey was to be fairly short, so we didn’t hurry out. The girls didn’t appear too upset to be hitting the road; they prefer trees to other RV’s as neighbors when we’re camping.
COSUMNES RIVER PRESERVE.
Day 156 – Another sunny, breezy day, the high was 73 degrees. Every day we watch the parade of large RV’s leaving, and then an hour or two later a new parade of large RV’s arrives. Almost everyone here stays only one night; it’s a great stopover destination right off Interstate 5. You’ve got your gas stations, your wine tasting, and your fast food restaurants right by you. So convenient. Ha ha.
