STATEN ISLAND PRESERVE.
Day 155 – It started raining last night and rained through part of the morning. We did the rest of the laundry, then headed in to Lodi to Sprouts for some grocery shopping. We finished our chores, had lunch at the RV, and then headed out for some fun.

To:Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, CA – Cosumnes River Preserve & Staten Island Preserve.
Day 154 – It was 10:55 a.m. when we left Los Banos Creek Campground – 60 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze. The water was like glass this morning and we wished we could stay longer, but we have to leave this SRA sometime!
ANOTHER LAZY DAY.
Day 153 – It was 55 degrees this morning. A front came through and it cooled down some; it was a bit windy again. Daylight Savings Time and we lost an hour – one less hour to nap, LOL.

Day 152 – It was 45 degrees this morning and sunny when we got up. We sat around with our coffee/tea, relaxing in the RV – then continued relaxing in the tent with our books. The campground was busy and fairly loud. It’s at least half full and it’s a popular place for people to go fishing. Also, there were several families and/or friends camping together. Everyone was having a great time either fishing or hanging out at the beach. Our campsite was isolated somewhat from it all, still it was a noisy day.

To: Los Banos Creek Campground, San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, Los Banos, CA.
Day 151 – It has been 5 months today since we left our home in New York to begin this trip. We have now stayed at least two nights in 14 different states. Today we’re driving a short distance to a different campground within the San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, the Los Banos Creek Campground.
MERCED NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE 2.
Day 150 – When we initially got to this campground we paid for four nights, but we have decided to stay a little longer. This morning we extended this stay by one night. We’re not through bird watching at these excellent wildlife refuges yet.

Day 149 – Low 40’s this morning and sunny. We left the campground before 11 a.m. to begin today’s bird watching adventure. First we went into Los Banos to Subway and picked up sandwiches for lunch. Then we drove to the second unit of San Luis NWR, the Bear Creek Unit. We did not go to this unit on Monday when we last visited this refuge.

Day 148 – Upper 30’s this morning when we got up, and sunny. The morning sun was perfect for Rob to take some pictures, and the birds were out in force. Every morning the girls sit on the dashboard enthralled by all the activity here.

Day 147 – It was sunny and in the mid-30’s this morning when we got up. The campground was very quiet last night. The birds were chirping away and some Tule Elk were grazing on the grass in front of the RV, not very far away. Rob went out to take some pictures.

Day 146 – Today’s the big day, Luca fans. Mark & Mark pick up their puppy today. Hopefully we’ll get a picture for the blog, hint hint, Mark! Meanwhile, the girls were taken without complaint to a new campground. This morning Java & Gracie were playing a game of “Who Is The CopyCat”?
