Day 132 – Up and out at 10 a.m., the kitties said, “You’re not leaving AGAIN, are you?!”  Off to Rob’s moms’ for a long bout of cooking. Her kitchen is so much bigger than our tiny-house kitchen; five hours later we were packaging up numerous meals for freezing in single-serving bags for future use. And we were able to visit with his mom & today’s caregiver, Grace, at the same time.

Rob took care of some chores for his mom, then we left, getting back to the RV in time to change clothes and head out to Studio City to meet Mark & Mark at their house a few minutes after 7 p.m.  Studio City is above the City of Los Angeles; Long Beach is below. It took us a little over an hour to get there; even on a Saturday the traffic was bad, but Los Angeles was pretty in the night-time lights. Mark & Mark have a lovely home – we always like to go there – and Brophy, their dog, is no longer a puppy but is now 75 pounds of Big Love (this is after a diet), and obviously adored by his “parents” & vice versa. Too bad we didn’t bring the camera.

We had dinner at a great Mexican restaurant, “Mucho Mas”, and it had authentic, tasty & fresh Mexican food.  Rob & I had Margaritas which were quite good. The service was wonderful & they cheerfully left the four of us alone to chat & laugh for hours until finally letting us know the restaurant was closing. The waiter even chased us outside & down the street to give Rob his phone which he’d left inside.  Thanks, Mark & Mark, for helping us to unwind – we’ll see you next time you’re in New York.  (Mucho Mas:  10405 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood, (818) 980-0300.)

The traffic wasn’t nearly as bad going back to Long Beach, but was still surprisingly heavy considering it was late on a Saturday night. Everyone we’ve visited has said the traffic is worse than it used to be. Now that it’s getting closer to us leaving L.A., we may be starting to get a little used to it……LOL. We got to bed after midnight. The girls aren’t speaking to us.

Hey Guys! It was great having dinner with you not just once……but TWICE……while you were in town!! Happy travels……and we hope to see you again SOON! — Mark, Mark & Brophy P.S. Brophy says he knows you’re really more into cats than dogs……so he was really happy that you didn’t run out screaming after he continuously hovered over you the entire time you were at our house!!
