TGIF? No, TGIP – Thank God It’s Pizza.

Day 79 – It rained hard all night, and stopped around 8 a.m. this morning. It’s looking like a rain forest around here. Everything is dripping with moisture. We both worked on some projects around the RV, Rob getting the holding tank monitoring system installed, and I was starting some research for our next trip. The status of Rob’s current project: now we watch the tank levels to check how accurate the system is, adjusting each monitor’s location until we have the best performance.

A RAINY DAY.

Day 78 – They got it right this time when they forecasted lots of rain! It started raining around midnight last night. When we got up, it was POURING, and it kept raining hard all morning. Started up again in the afternoon. Rob couldn’t work on his project re the holding tank monitoring system because for the last part, he needs to be outside on the ground under the RV. It was pretty muddy out. Instead we caught up our budget spreadsheet, and I made appointments for routine doctor’s appointments for when we get home while he worked on fixing a leak on the reverse osmosis tank. Later we played UNO, had dinner & settled in with the girls. Not much to report here.

Congratulations, Cathie & Pete.

Day 75 – It was raining & 55 degrees this morning. Yesterday we’d made bread and this morning we made Egg Salad. That takes care of lunch for several days. We couldn’t live on Bagels & Pizza forever. It continued to rain until the afternoon. We received our mail which we’d ordered from the mail forwarding service, so we spent the day dealing with bills and various paperwork. Not real exciting here. But at least the girls had new boxes to play in.

It’s August. Really?! Time flies…..

Day 74 – It was 54 degrees, sunny and clear this morning. Rob went out to the cliff, relaxed with his coffee, and took a few pictures. (We guess the squirrels know which mushrooms are okay to eat. And our neighbor tried our chantarelles and said “they were delicious and she lived to tell the tale”, LOL.)

So that’s who’s eating the mushrooms! Cliff Haven, ME

THE FUNGUS AMONG US.

Day 71 – We’re back at our land and not much is happening. It was 50 degrees outside this morning and the high today was 66 degrees. We didn’t do a whole lot today, just relaxing and adjusting to being here for awhile. Rob took his morning coffee time at the cliff where the water was like glass and the reflections off the water were awesome.

TRAVEL DAY: WELD, MAINE TO OUR LAND IN MAINE.

Day 70 – It continued to rain lightly into the night. It was 56 degrees & partly cloudy when Rob got up at 6 a.m. I got up at 6:50 and we quickly made our morning beverages and packed up the RV. We knew it would be a long day. Better to get an early start. We mapped out our route for today; we’re heading to out land in Maine. Hoping for no bugs and that bug season is over, the temperatures are so much cooler there.
