HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.

Day 73 – It was cloudy today and very windy with a low of 60 degrees and a high of 63 degrees. The two women in the Van left. Later in the day another Van arrived and they stayed the night – we never saw the people. And a Class C RV arrived with 3 people, mom & dad & son. After unpacking, the man came out and sat by the cliff looking at the water and playing the guitar. The boy came out with a trumpet and attempted (grin) to play along. They stayed one night, also. Otherwise, no one but us has been camping here.

A FOGGY/SUNNY DAY.

Day 72 – It was gorgeous out when we got up, sunny with no wind, 60 degrees. A little later the fog began rolling in. It was beautiful as the fog came in to cover the cliffs. By 9 a.m., it was very windy & 68 degrees with dense fog. A little later the fog rolled out and it was sunny again. The wind decreased. Ever changing.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN.

TRAVEL DAY

From: Home, New York.

To: Wolfe’s Neck Oceanfront Camping, Freeport, Maine (ME).

Day 1 – It was 41 degrees, clear & sunny, at 6 a.m. this morning when we got up. We departed home at 8:45 a.m. (45 degrees) and were a bit sad to leave. We really do love our home. The girls felt the same, particularly Pixie, who did NOT want to go back to the bedroom, their traveling place in the RV. As we were getting ready to leave, we realized something was missing. No, not a cat, but the camera! Um, we don’t want to forget that!

OUR LAST DAY HERE.

Day 360 – What a difference a day can make, weather-wise. It was 37 degrees and overcast this morning when we got up. Normally it’s been warming up fairly quickly. We had some things to do this morning, so we didn’t get started with the fun stuff until a little before lunch time. We were surprised when we got in the car near noon and it was only 44 degrees and the fog was so dense we couldn’t see very far in front of us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RON! WE HOPE YOU HAD A PURR-FECT DAY!

Day 355 – This morning we had appointments for our COVID boosters, so we were up and out early. We drove to Rapid City, SD (a little over an hour from Custer), got our vaccines, and decided to do some exploring while we were out. We picked up Jersey Mike’s subs for a picnic lunch and headed south.

Day 354 – Today we drive from Wyoming to South Dakota to another KOA Campground, staying at this one for 3 nights. Tomorrow morning we’ll be driving to Rapid City, SD to get our COVID shots. We’d wanted to wait until the government had approved shots that included the latest variants of the virus.
