CHECKING OUT TOFINO.

Day 260 – More than two months ago we made reservations for a Black Bear Watching Trip out of Tofino. It was scheduled for tomorrow morning. When it started raining this morning, we checked the weather and it still didn’t look good for tomorrow. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to change the reservation, but Jamie’s Whaling Station said they could fit us on Thursday’s cruise.

SHIRLEY DELICIOUS.

Day 244 – Okay, so now we do have lots of food in our refrigerator – pizza, desserts, and groceries we just bought, and we’d planned to make Shrimp with a Garlic Peanut Thai Sauce over Angel Hair Pasta for dinner tonight, but we had not yet been to Shirley Delicious, the place that always has a line of people outside waiting to get their coffee drinks and healthy food. SIERRA VISTA, AZ.

Day 101 – The low last night was 36 degrees. Today the high was 59 degrees. It was partly cloudy. The campground is clean, safe, and offers full hook-ups. It’s a bit noisy at times: highway traffic noise, barking dogs, and kids riding around the camping loop on their bikes, yelling – kids don’t go to school anymore? But, considering how many people camp and live here, it’s really not bad. Tomorrow we drive to a campground a little below Tuscon, a HUGE city. We’ll probably be begging for an opportunity to come back here after that!

It’s August. Really?! Time flies…..

Day 74 – It was 54 degrees, sunny and clear this morning. Rob went out to the cliff, relaxed with his coffee, and took a few pictures. (We guess the squirrels know which mushrooms are okay to eat. And our neighbor tried our chantarelles and said “they were delicious and she lived to tell the tale”, LOL.)

So that’s who’s eating the mushrooms! Cliff Haven, ME

RESEARCH & NAPS.

Day 51 – It poured down rain last night, leaving this morning humid & cool. A relaxing day with Rob working on his next project – looking for a database to keep track of our photographs, and me, reading & napping. I am getting great at napping! We got up out of our chairs long enough to go out to get lunch, sandwiches from Wally’s Bagels & Breads. We really like that place!
