A SCENIC DRIVE.
Day 166 – At 7:45 a.m. this morning it was sunny and 44 degrees. We don’t get a lot of sun at the campground because there are so many trees, but it’s still beautiful as it filters through the greenery.
We left around 10 a.m. to drive to an area we went to in 2017 where there were lots of birds. Evidently not many birds here this time of year, but we did see 2 Marsh Hawks, 3 Cormorants, and lots of Canada Geese – and didn’t get pictures of any of them. The scenery was very nice, though, as we drove through farm country, gravel roads around sand dunes, and back to Crescent City where we stopped for Fish ‘n Chips with fresh Ling Cod. Back through the Redwoods to our campground, we relaxed for the rest of the day as campers kept arriving and driving the campground road to pick their sites. We spent a couple of hours in the tent for our last afternoon here. The high today was 63 degrees.
