Day 69 – Well, we only were able to get Monday’s post out. This is what happens if we don’t keep up with the Blog daily. It’s now Thursday at almost 8 p.m. and we’ve been traveling to a new campsite most of the day. Below is the post from Tuesday, another busy day at the Bonavista Peninsula.
Day 68 – We got behind with blogging starting today. It is now Wednesday, June 28. On Monday & Tuesday, we went for drives and were gone all day, leaving us no time to work on the pictures and the writing of the Blog. Better a little late than never!

Day 67 – The low last night was 58 degrees and it was overcast when we got up. Soon thereafter it started raining. The rain continued on and off throughout the day, and it was definitely cooler today.

Day 66 – It was a comfortable morning and we spent most of it outside in the screened tent. By lunch time we had to shut the windows in the RV and turn on the air conditioner. We remained mostly inside after that. The cats really like having the windows open.
Day 65 – We slept really hard last night. The Park was quiet, it had cooled down nicely, and we were tired from the long day. The low last night was 54 degrees. When we got up, it was quite murky out and 66 degrees. We spent some time this morning in the screened tent. Then after lunch, we took a drive.

Day 64 – At 5 a.m. this morning, it was 51 degrees and clear out. It was much warmer and it looked like it would be nice day again today. We were up early because we had to catch a ferry, and our time on Fogo Island was over. As Rob was hooking the Honda back up to the RV for our drive to the ferry terminal, a group of Northern Gannets flew into the cove and took turns diving for herring. As many as five Gannets dove straight down into the water at the same time, very close to each other, and not far from where we were parked. Because we were busy hitching up the car and getting ready to leave, we didn’t have the cameras ready. It was still amazing to see.

Day 63 – And it arrived here today. It was 35 degrees this morning when we got up, not quite frost-advisory weather as was predicted. We woke up to very dense fog. Discouraged, we decided not to rush off to catch the ferry to Change Islands. By 9:35 a.m. the fog was gone and it was brightly sunny. How nice!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK! WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Day 63 – The low was 39 degrees and it rained hard all night. It only reached 42 degrees today, and there’s a frost advisory for tonight. Tomorrow is supposedly the longest day of the year. Does that mean it will clear up and start being warmer then?
Day 61 – The low temperature last night was 37 degrees. When we got up this morning, it was 40 and raining lightly, still foggy. Since it’s raining, we plan to stay at the RV until we leave for an early dinner. Bang Belly is closed Tuesday & Wednesday, and we’re leaving the Island Thursday morning. This will be our last chance to try them for dinner this trip.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY EVERYONE; THIS INCLUDES THOSE WITH PETS!
Day 60 – It was 38 degrees this morning with dense fog. There’s a folk song we heard in Newfoundland several times when we were here in 2019; it’s called “Grey Foggy Day”. We wonder where they got the idea for this song?! https://youtu.be/uY2nVUXeXzY
