TRAVEL DAY: FREEPORT, MAINE TO BERNARDSTON, MASSACHUSETTS.

Day 122 – After hearing the cows released into their fields this morning, we reluctantly got ready to leave. We were up by 6:30 a.m. It was 61 degrees, cloudy and humid with a few drizzles of rain. We departed at 8:55 after dumping tanks, 66 degrees, humid, and still sprinkling.

HAPPY TRAILS TO US…………

Day 1 – We’re on the road again after what seemed like an eternity! I have a notebook that I use to take notes while we’re traveling so we don’t forget anything for the Blog. Right after we departed, I opened it up to our last trip which began on August 30 and ended on October 17th of last year. My first note for that trip ironically said “2020, The COVID Year”. Who would’ve thought then that I would be starting this trip with “COVID, Year #2”. Sigh. But it is getting better! We are vaccinated, and we hope that you are, too.

WE’RE  BACK…………

Day 1 – We departed home in NY at 10:35 a.m. this morning.  It was a beautiful day with a comfortable temperature of 68 degrees and partly cloudy.  It rained the last couple of days and recently cooled off somewhat.  We had a warm summer and we’re glad it’s cooler & the humidity is dropping.  In the past we’d come home from one trip, unpack & do things around the house, keep appointments, and rush around to pack up and go out again as soon as possible.  This time we had plenty of time to prepare leisurely and it was so much more pleasant.  Hopefully, lesson learned. A NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS.

Day 1 – We left at 11:15 this morning, starting up Trip #6. We have big smiles on our faces now. Grin…….It was 47 degrees, windy & cloudy. The kitties knew where they were right away and didn’t seem to mind the drive; they just cuddled up all together and went to sleep on the bed. Our plan was to keep the drives down most days as much as possible. It’s easier on all of us that way.

TRIP #4 – BACK UP & RUNNING!

Day 47 – When we last posted to the Blog, we were putting this trip on hold until Rob got back from California. We are very happy to be back on the road. We departed home in NY at 9:45 a.m.  It was 70 degrees, partly cloudy and a little humid, much cooler & less humid than it had been the last couple of weeks at home. And it rained a lot in NY – everything was SO green at home.
