A BUSY DAY.

Day 403 – Well, you can’t be lazy every day. We decided to go back to the Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. It was 30 degrees last night and is supposed to get into the 20’s tonight. It was less windy this morning. We figured we’d better go out today since it continues getting colder for the next few days.

ANOTHER COLD DAY.

Day 402 – Yep, winter is here. It recently snowed in NY and is supposed to snow again a couple of days after we get home. Here in NJ it is cold and windy. The low last night was 39 degrees, and today the high was only 45. The wind makes it feel much colder than that. We stayed at home in the RV except for a trip to the closest grocery store, 20 minutes away. We don’t mind cuddling with the girls; we’ll take that kind of day anytime.

A STAY-AT-HOME DAY.

Day 401 – It rained hard all night and was very cold and windy today. We stayed at home, wrapped in blankets and cats. It was a very nice day. This campground is quite nice, especially off-season. The campsites are spacious and there are plenty of trees and bushes between the sites. Only a few people are camping now; it will probably get busier over the weekend. For now, it’s peaceful and quiet.Yawn!

TRAVEL DAY

From: Trap Pond State Park, Laurel, DE.

To: Nummy Lake Recreation Area Campground, Belleplain State Forest, Woodbine, New Jersey (NJ).

Day 399 – Brrrr. It was 33 degrees at 6:30 a.m. this morning. The high today was only 49 degrees, but it was sunny and that helped. We’re getting closer to home, and winter temperatures are expected there. Looking forward to that first snowfall!
