Day 155 – It rained some during the night and continued raining on & off throughout the day. The low temperature last night was 50 degrees, and the high today was only 53. We left at 11 a.m. for a drive along the northern arm of the Humber River/Bay of Islands.
Day 154 – Another rainy day today. The low temperature last night was 55 degrees. Today it reached 60, briefly. It’s quite muddy out. We stayed inside all day and did lots of cooking, making a Pesto Shrimp Scampi and a couple of loaves of Garlic Bread. We’re sure that between the two items, the garlic can be smelled for miles and miles. The girls liked having us here all day. We’re lucky they don’t seem to mind the garlic! We’re throwing in some kitty pictures for today’s blog post.
Day 153 – It was 51 degrees this morning with dense clouds. It wasn’t supposed to rain until 2 p.m., so we went for a drive in the mountains north of Corner Brook, thinking the sun might come out for some pictures and views. Didn’t happen. It began raining at 11 a.m. and it rained all day. The high temperature today was 55 degrees.
Day 152 – It was 57 degrees this morning when we got up, and it reached 62 degrees today. From the weather forecast, it looked like today would be the best day for a longer scenic drive. It’s supposed to rain the next three days.

Day 151 – The hurricane/tropical storm was not a big deal here, not like what was predicted. This seems to happen often, but it’s okay; we’re glad it wasn’t worse here. Other places were hit hard. Hope everyone is okay!
