THE NORTH HUMBER ARM PENINSULA.

Day 155 – It rained some during the night and continued raining on & off throughout the day. The low temperature last night was 50 degrees, and the high today was only 53. We left at 11 a.m. for a drive along the northern arm of the Humber River/Bay of Islands.

The weather wasn’t great, no sun whatsoever, and with clouds and fog. But we discovered the Cox’s Cove Waterfalls which were beautiful. After driving on Route 440 to the end of the road at Cox’s Cove, we took a dirt road into the hills and saw a sign for the waterfalls. Following the dirt road to the falls, we were surprised at this little gem of a park. We spent some time there taking pictures and walking around in the mist from the pretty waterfalls.

We turned around and headed back along the 440, past the campground to Corner Brook. We had a late lunch again at Harbour Grounds. We love the Pesto Vegetable Panini there. Back at the RV for the rest of the afternoon, we made a loaf of sandwich bread, worked on the blog, and relaxed some. Tomorrow morning we are leaving for our next destination.
