Day 2 –
Site 54 at G&R Campground in Deleware
6:30 a.m., 38 degrees, light rain. Sat around all morning and relaxed. Cats doing well and completely adjusted already. We had some water in the tanks so we took showers, had our coffee, and sat around reading. Stopped raining and the sun was out by 9 a.m. We headed out to visit Gail, arriving at her house in Easton, MD in the early afternoon with plans to meet up with Chris & Liz, Gail’s son and daughter-in-law, for dinner at the Community Center near Gail’s home. The drive took a little over an hour, Gail looked great when we saw her and said she was feeling better than she had for a long time. Keely, her wonderful dog, was happy to see us, and though getting older and deaf, still had plenty of energy. Chris and Liz came by after Chris got off work and we had dinner. The restaurant at the Facility is very good; we’re very happy Gail gets to live here surrounded by so many of her friends and her family is fairly close by.
The high today in Easton, MD was 46 degrees and it was windy, making it feel like a NY cold day; it was 41 degrees at the campground at 8 p.m. when we got back from Gail’s. We fed the cats, read some more and went to bed early. All is well. Babies are cozy and warm.
