Day 107 – It was 58 degrees again this morning, but it was cloudy and foggy. By the time we were ready to leave for our final exploratory drive on the Connaigre Peninsula, the fog had lifted and the sun was coming out. Another beautiful day!
Day 106 – 58 degrees and sunny at 7:15 a.m. It was the perfect day for a drive to remote villages. Villages that have been around a long time, formerly outport villages accessible only by water, and when the roads were put in, the villages didn’t change much.
Day 105 – We slept in this morning; the kitties were very kind to let us do so. It was supposed to rain, and it was very cloudy. The temperature was 64 degrees and there was a nice breeze. You can hear the ocean waves from here. Love that sound.
Day 104 – It was cloudy and 61 degrees this morning at around 7:30 a.m. We hung around the RV all day, only because when it did clear up we’d already gotten about halfway through our chores. So why not finish?
Day 103 – It was 55 degrees and cloudy at 7:30 a.m. It rained on & off most of the night. Pixie has enjoyed bird watching here at this Park, like a “pointer” dog, pointing out birds to us from her perch by the bedroom window. She helped us discover the Junco, the Boreal Chickadee, and the Ruby-Crowned Kinglet in the trees and on the ground just outside the RV.

Day 99 – The sun was still shining this morning at 7 a.m. A few clouds; a nice breeze. YAAA! We are leaving tomorrow for a different area & campground. We were REALLY hoping the weather would remain sunny for today’s drive to the remaining towns on this peninsula.
Day 98 – It was 51 degrees & very foggy this morning at 7:30 a.m. We tried to return some e-mails & do some other internet-related things, but the signal has been completely gone. We are blogging in between the signal coming & going. At about 11:30, the sun came out here at the campground. We hadn’t seen much of our surroundings for days. Today we could drive to some of the local sights & back to the area we covered Wednesday to see what we’ve been missing.
Day 97 – At 7:15 this morning it was 60 degrees and again, very foggy. We packed our lunches & headed out a little after 11 a.m. We drove on Route 360 north of the campground for about an hour before there was a break in the fog. That warmed it up a little.
Day 96 – We were fogged in again today which made us extend our stay here because supposedly we should get some sunlight Friday & Saturday. This area is too beautiful to miss it in all its glory. It was 59 degrees this morning, humid & thick fog.
NEWFOUNDLAND – FOGGED IN, BUT AT LEAST IT WASN’T HOT.
Day 95 – It was very foggy this morning at 7:15, 59 degrees, humid & breezy. We’d intended to take a drive around this beautiful area and get some pictures today. The fog was supposed to burn off by 2 p.m., so we hung around the RV relaxing, doing some food prep for tonight’s cooking, and a couple of loads of laundry at the campground laundry facility, The fog was dense & again, the only sounds we heard were the Sea Gulls.
