THE FUNGUS AMONG US.

Day 71 – We’re back at our land and not much is happening. It was 50 degrees outside this morning and the high today was 66 degrees. We didn’t do a whole lot today, just relaxing and adjusting to being here for awhile. Rob took his morning coffee time at the cliff where the water was like glass and the reflections off the water were awesome.

TRAVEL DAY: WELD, MAINE TO OUR LAND IN MAINE.

Day 70 – It continued to rain lightly into the night. It was 56 degrees & partly cloudy when Rob got up at 6 a.m. I got up at 6:50 and we quickly made our morning beverages and packed up the RV. We knew it would be a long day. Better to get an early start. We mapped out our route for today; we’re heading to out land in Maine. Hoping for no bugs and that bug season is over, the temperatures are so much cooler there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAIL! YOU DESERVE THE BEST!

TRAVEL DAY: GRAND ISLE, VERMONT TO WELD, MAINE.

Day 68 – We’d done quite well with internet & phone signals for awhile now, but unexpectedly WE HAD NO SIGNAL here when we arrived at our new campground, therefore a couple of blog posts cannot be sent out on schedule. I guess that means a “Happy BELATED Birthday to you, Gail!”

BACK TO WALLY’S BAGELS.

Day 67 – It rained last night and was windy. The high winds finally turned into a nice breeze around 10 a.m. The high today was 82 degrees, and it was humid. In the afternoon, we baked Italian bread for making Rob’s garlic/mozzarella bread. The long use of the oven made the RV uncomfortably warm. We turned on the air conditioning. YAAA to having electric hook-ups!

TRAVEL DAY: THREE MILE BAY, NY TO GRAND ISLE, VT.

Day 66 – Awake by 6:30 a.m. this morning, we had plenty of time to relax outside by the Lake with our morning beverages. This was a travel day and normally we have lots to do, but our goal was to leave around 10 a.m. and we wanted a little more time at this campsite by Lake Ontario. It was quiet and peaceful at first, just a few fishermen out & about, and we watched the fish leaping out of the water. But by 9 a.m. when we put up our chairs and went inside, it was bustling with activity. It was going to be very busy and loud today!

CHANGING CAMPSITES (NOT CAMPGROUNDS).

Day 65 – Because someone had reserved our campsite for the weekend, we had to move on, or change campsites. Because the place we are going next had no campsites available tonight, we had to change campsites within the same campground, Long Point State Park. This morning we checked with the rangers and they said they’d let us know when our new campsite was available to check in, based on when the current residents left. We had most of the morning free to relax.
