Day 36 – I had another night of the aching knee, and I couldn’t get comfortable. This morning I could barely walk. Rob went off to the Dermatologist in Charleston by himself; we were concerned about how I’d even get down the steps of the RV to get to the car. At 7:40 a.m. it was 56 degrees & cloudy. It’s supposed to rain today & the temperature should only go up.
Rob came back to the RV after his appointment with an antibiotic cream & instructions to follow up with his doctor when he got home. I continued my RICE regimen (Rest + Ice + Compression + Elevation). It started raining in the late morning and continued on & off all day and it was windy. Not much else going on. The girls are enjoying that we’re home with them all day instead of chasing birds & alligators.
As the sun set, it was raining lightly and 58 degrees. We had ordered our mail to be delivered to the local Post Office from the mail forwarding service, thinking we’d be here at least a week. Once that arrives, assuming my knee isn’t better, we’ll be heading back home.
