Day 80 – Looks like it will be a gorgeous day today; 50 degrees at 6:30 a.m., sunny. The girls argued over places on the dashboard that had the best sun. We went out to the screened tent for a little while when it got warm enough, then came in for lunch.
After lunch we took the kayaks out on Echo Lake. The boat launch is across the campground road from the Ranger’s Station. It was a great paddle, and it was a beautiful Lake with lots of trees surrounding it. We only saw a few people. Actually, saw more Black Ducks & Dragonflies than people – the weather was perfect, clear & sunny, a slight breeze, 65 degrees. The water was clean & we could see almost to the bottom. There were some cabins & cottages on the Lake, but the Labor Day crowd hadn’t arrived yet as of this afternoon.

Back to the RV, we chopped vegetables for dinner, then took our beer & wine out to the tent. We watched as the campers came in & set up. And we talked about the possibility of spending the winter in the southwest desert. But that’s a while away, and anything can happen between now & then.
