Day 78 – We were up by 7:20 a.m., 65 degrees, sunny. Today was the dreaded Laundry Day. After coffee & the necessities, we drove to Presque Isle to Kellie’s Laundromat. Okay, so this may sound crazy, but if you ever need to do laundry & you are near Presquc Isle, Maine, this is the place to go. You never know about laundromats; some can be quite sleezy, but this place was so clean that you could eat off the countertops (but we chose not to). Lots of perfectly working washing machines & dryers to choose from, all spotless & reasonably-priced, and of different sizes. Okay, Laundromat Review done, we returned to the RV at noon. Beautiful out.
The party of four next door departed leaving us with no one around us. They were just fine & who knows what we’ll get next. The weekend approaches, Labor Day Weekend, at that. The steady rain was supposed to start this evening and continue throughout the night. We sat in the tent and read books, and Rob worked on his current project on the computer. The high today was 79 degrees. It clouded up & the thunder began around 4 p.m. We zipped up the tent & came inside. The cats went to their hiding places. Once this front decides to really pass over us, we hope to kayak at Echo Lake, right here at Aroostook State Park.
