Day 71 – It’s supposed to rain all day today, and at 6 a.m. it was 59 degrees, but not raining yet. We had paid for two nights when we arrived at this Park, figuring we’d be leaving today and moving north towards Canada. But after driving around all day yesterday & checking out the alternatives for camping, we decided this is the best place for us to stay for now. This morning, we paid for another two nights.
Our campsite is nice and since it’s the middle of the week, the campground is almost empty. Very quiet like we prefer, and the cat’s are quite relaxed here. It will be fully booked over the weekend though. Evidently this Balloon Festival is a big deal here & draws a crowd. This campsite, #18U, is non-reservable. If we like, we can stay here as long as 14 nights. It started raining mid-morning and continued into the evening. Never got over 65 degrees. We didn’t do much, just relaxed and caught up with some things inside the RV. It was a good day.
