Again, nothing new going on here which is good. We’ve been using the new RV awning when the sun is shining on the door (passenger) side of the RV. It works wonderfully and we’re glad we spent the time it took to get it replaced. Keeps it cooler inside the RV during the day, keeping the sun from shining in all day.
Rained a little Monday morning. We certainly haven’t been feeling much of the heat wave here. We don’t have electric, water, and sewer at the campsite; we’re “dry camping”. Once a week we’ve been going to the dump station to empty tanks and to refill with fresh water; for electricity, we run the generator once a day for about an hour and that keeps the batteries charged. If it was really warm, air conditioning would be difficult.
Tuesday made it almost to 80 degrees. The evening temperatures have been getting down to 55 or 60 degrees. More Cedar Waxwings at the campsite, picking red berries. We’ve also seen & heard Blue Jays and Nuthatches flying in with food for their squawking youngsters. A Red Squirrel was ripping up the mushrooms near the tent & taking dinner back to its’ home. More Seagulls flew in on Tuesday, also.

Happy Anniversary to you both! Glad you’re enjoying your time in Maine. We love just reading and enjoying all nature has to offer as well 🙂 We’ll be spending a week at Baker’s Reserve in MN in Sept so really looking forward to that. GlobalFoundries just had a round of layoffs and I almost wished they had let me go 🙂 Dan got hit so we lost another dmacs person. Cal Bitner is doing a transition to retirement so he’ll be learning dmacs so he can cover when Kushagra goes on vacation. Given the cost of health care, I’m planning to work until at least end of next year. ugh.
Enjoy and be sure you let us know when you’re in the midwest again and we’ll try to get to where you are.
Sorry to hear Dan got laid off. You’ll enjoy working with Cal I’m sure. I always did 🙂 Sorry to hear you did’t get laid off yourself ha ha. We’ll definitely let you know next time we’re passing through.
