AND MORE STORMY WEATHER.

Day 41 – It rained HARD during the night; it continues this morning. This rain should put out all fires in the area, we hope. It’s very windy, the ocean crashes below us, the wind whistles thru the trees, the RV shakes from the wind gusts. So far not the huge campsite shuffle of the previous couple of days – everyone is hunkered down. NOT a day to be outside. This will put a damper on people’s weekend plans.

We got up a little before 8 a.m., 52 degrees. The girls were cuddled together on their heated pads. Couldn’t see much at all outside with all the wind and rain, plus all the windows in the RV were fogged up. We read books, napped, did stuff on the computer, Very slow day in OR.

Okay, so it’s 3:30 p.m. now & I just wiped the foggy window so I could see outside to look at the temperature on the thermometer we put outside. Still 52 degrees, still pouring down rain, heavy winds, and until the window fogs up again, I can see big waves crashing on the rocks below. Oh, and amazing…..there are empty campsites here. I bet that doesn’t happen often on a weekend. What, did they evacuate the place and no one told us? LOL. The cats are still asleep on their pads; we’ve both finished our books & are starting new ones. We’ll be ready to hike around & take some pictures once the rain & wind stop, that’s for sure.
