Day 41– It was still cold this morning, 31 degrees and cloudy but not raining. We worked on stuff around the RV. The sun came out around 11 a.m. and kept going in & out of the clouds. Before lunch, Rob went for a walk on the trail and down to the waterfalls.
Day 40 – The low last night was 36 degrees; it was very windy & rainy. Today looks like it will be more of the same, but colder. Elsewhere in NL, though, it is snowing. We didn’t leave the RV again today.
Day 39 – It rained last night, 40 degrees. If we’d gone to La Scie, it would be snowing with very high winds all day today and tonight. It’s much better here, but we’re really glad we can go back to La Scie in August.
To: Sir Richard Squires Memorial Provincial Park, Cormack, NL.
Day 38 – It was 42 degrees last night with rain & wind. There’s a bigger storm coming in with snow and heavy winds. We leave today for a campground inland more protected from the wind gusts. It’s not a long drive to the Park; we checked it out a couple of days ago when we saw the winds were coming.
