HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY!
Day 40 – The low last night was 36 degrees; it was very windy & rainy. Today looks like it will be more of the same, but colder. Elsewhere in NL, though, it is snowing. We didn’t leave the RV again today.
We were certain we wouldn’t have a signal here, but surprisingly there is an intermittent signal. We’ll try to get a blog out now and then when the signal lasts long enough to do so.
The high temperature today was a whopping 41 degrees.
Newfoundland Tidbits:
In NL, there are four seasons: Moose Season, Rabbit Season, Duck Season, and Fishing Season.
When Newfoundlanders refer to “fish”, they are talking about Cod; any other species are referred to by their names. Cod is King here.
There are no snakes, skunks, porcupines, raccoons, or poison ivy & poison oak in Newfoundland.
