Monday, July 9 (Day 43) thru Wednesday, July 11, 2018 (Day 45)

Monday, 7/9 – Another hot one today, reached 89 degrees. Ugh. Not humid, but no breeze. (But not even close to the very hot weather in southern CA. To our friends & relatives, take care to stay as cool as possible!) We put the awning out early to keep the direct sun from hitting the RV on one side. By mid-morning, the campground was almost empty & it remained very quiet throughout the day. What a difference from the weekend! We just moved around as little as possible & tried not to get too hot. Missing air conditioning!

Tuesday, 7/10 – Warm night last night. Didn’t get much sleep. This morning early, Rob took a long walk around the campground, lake, and day use area. There are some decent hills to hike here. He said the bugs weren’t too bad – just had the flies that go after your head, dive-bombing   BUZZ THWACK, BUZZ THWACK into your hair. Oh joy! I remain inside. The high today was 82 degrees & there was some breeze. Rain with thunderstorms began around 3 p.m. That cooled it nicely. We love it when it rains; it cleanses everything.

Wednesday, 7/11 – So much cooler today. Only a few campers here mid-week. 55 degrees and sunny at 6 a.m. What a gorgeous day! Rob & I enjoyed watching a man walking his cat. No leash. Amazing. The cat just trotted alongside. Pretty cute. Our cats would never do that. Breezy, sunny & clear all day with a high of 72 degrees. Very quiet here today, quite pleasant.

July 11:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ERNIE! WE MISS YOU BOTH & HOPE YOU TWO ARE DOING WELL; WE THINK OF YOU OFTEN.
