Day 123 – Beginning of the fifth month of this trip. We’ll be staying in Long Beach for two weeks, a lot longer than we usually stay in one place (except our land in Maine).  Our main reason for taking this trip was to visit Rob’s mom and to see dear friends & our relatives on the way to, and from, southern CA.  We haven’t decided where we’re going next yet.  It will almost completely depend on the weather conditions in winter.  Do we go south & east through the desert to avoid the Rocky Mountains & the snow? Or do we go north, then east somehow to get around the bad weather.  We’d probably prefer to go north back to the trees, but the weather may not permit it.  We need to pass through Missouri, Kentucky, and Maryland before getting back to NY in early May.  Wish we had a crystal ball!  (If anyone out there who may be reading this, has any ideas or experience in this area, please drop us an e-mail or respond to this blog.)

Okay, moving on, we were up at 7:30 & 8 a.m., respectively Rob first, then me, 52 degrees & sunny.  The girls have not yet adjusted to this Park.  We like it though & know that we’re lucky to find an acceptable place so close to his relatives.  But, how do you explain this to a cat?  They think it’s too noisy here (what do you expect for downtown Long Beach) and they seem jittery by the people they see (people have the right to walk their dogs in the morning).  LOL.  They will adjust.

We left at 10:45 for Rob’s moms’ house.  We spent most of the day there.  The high today was 67 degrees in Long Beach and it was sunny & a bit smoggy.  We may not go out tomorrow till later, if at all.  Need to do laundry & take care of some stuff around the RV.  We’ll see how it goes.  The girls are missing us.
