Day 64 – Beginning of Week 10. The electricity came back on in the RV in the middle of the night. Heated pads for the girls, too. But this morning when we looked at the temperature inside the house at home, it was down to 46 degrees. The furnace was out again. We got up at 7:30; 54 degrees and heavy rain.

Rob called the energy company & they sent someone out to the house again. We waited for the phone calls to tell us to unlock the front door. The technician spent a lot of time at the house. We locked the door behind him when he left. Once again, they’d gotten the furnace started up again, each time replacing a part.

It rained heavily on & off all day. Cold & brisk out, still windy. The high today never got over 57 degrees. We needed to run a couple of errands; we didn’t want to drive all the way to the “big city”, Eureka. We went to a closer small town, Mckinleyville, which turned out to have everything we needed. Convenient. We replaced a headlight in the Honda, and got spare headlights for the Honda & RV. He also got some parts in preparation for receiving the new inverter he’d ordered. We picked up some items at an excellent health food store, Eureka Natural Foods. A nice little town.

When we got back to the RV, Rob worked to get prepared for the inverter installation. We should be receiving it later this week, picking it up at a store in Eureka. Tomorrow we’ll try to get in some kayaking & spend some more time at the beach, weather permitting. It changes from one day to the next, so if it says it will rain tomorrow, it’ll be sunny, and vice versa. We need to dump & refill the Propane soon, so depending on the weather, we’ll be leaving tomorrow or the day after.
