ENJOY YOUR WEEK, LIZ & CHRIS! YOU DESERVE IT!
Day 52 – The rain is back and it looks like it will be around for several days. So glad we got out yesterday even though it was cloudy! This morning it was 42 degrees; that could be the high for today. We’ll be hunkered down in the RV today, but that’s okay. We’ll be doing a big batch of cooking this afternoon – it’s time for some curry.
Later: We had heavy, steady rain all day. As suspected, the temperature did stay below our morning high of 42 degrees. Since the RV windows were completely fogged up, it was fairly dark, and definitely unexciting for the cats. They slept all day. We did our cooking putting some of the fish we bought yesterday in the curry sauce. Rob has been working on a Iong project on rainy days between other Mr. Fix-It duties, to make our Blog travel maps interactive. Tomorrow morning we leave for Twillingate, our next destination.
Newfoundland Firsts: “Newfoundland was the first province to respond to Titanic’s distress signal, the first to vaccinate for smallpox, the first to host a transatlantic flight, the first to have wireless communication in the world, and the first place to discover proof of the theory of continental drift. They have the oldest street in North America, the oldest city in North America, the oldest rock in the world, the most pubs per square foot in Canada (George Street in St. John’s), and they caught the world’s largest invertebrate (giant squid).” from the Newfoundland Codroy Valley Travelers Guide
