THE RAIN RETURNS.
Day 196 – It rained last night and there’s more rain coming. We hung out at the RV until lunch time. While the sun temporarily peaked out from all the clouds, we went outside and took pictures – birds, flowers, etc. We’d been spending most of our time at this campground away from the campsite and had neglected capturing what was right in front of us.

The clouds were thickening again, so before the next storm we went to the Riverside Fish ‘n Chips truck for lunch. We’d hoped to get coffee and donuts, too, but that truck was closed until Friday. What a difference a weekday makes! There weren’t many people at the Fish truck this time, although a steady stream of food lovers continued to come in. We had no trouble getting our order in and finding a table. Once again, it was the best fish we’d ever had, both in the tacos and with the chips. It was cold and windy, and for anything else, eating outside might have been miserable, but we had a nice view of the river and the food was hot and tasty. As soon as we got in the car to return to the RV, it began pouring down rain. Our lucky day; we got our fish lunch and remained dry.
Back at the RV, it was chore time. We caught up on blog posts – we’d been gone so much it was hard to keep up. We did 3 loads of laundry at the campground laundry room. We made a big batch of Scampi Sauce to serve with Salmon over Pasta with Garlic Bread for several nights. Tomorrow it continues to rain and we leave for the next destination. We liked it here, the campground was very good, and there was plenty for us to do and see.
