HAPPY EASTER!
Day 188 – We didn’t see much of the sun today and storms are arriving again tonight. Tomorrow we are scheduled to leave for our next campground, also near the ocean, but back from it a bit; the view won’t be nearly as good. We spent a lot of today looking out to sea, a very relaxing way to pass time.
We went back to the healthy place, Green Salmon, for lunch. They were very busy with a line waiting clear to the doorway. Eventually we got a table and our coffee, Rob a regular coffee and me a Mexican Mocha. We split a Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookie while we waited. I got the same old sandwich, Tempeh BBQ with ½ Caesar salad this time (which was as big as a large full-size salad), and Rob got the same faux Egg & Ham Sandwich. We were both quite full after lunch, so we took a drive up into the hills on one of those narrow roads we like to explore.
It was a beautiful drive. We discovered a covered bridge over the Yachats River. That was a surprise. The road was rough at times. We ended up with a flat tire when we got back to the RV; Rob took a picture of the rock that was lodged in it.
Back at the RV it was cold and windy but we did get some pictures of the action in the Ocean. No whales today, but seals and a sea gull vs. a crab, and waves. Very nice.
Later in the afternoon we made a batch of Scallops in Curry Sauce to serve over Rice Noodles with vegetables for the next few nights, but we were still full from lunch so we just had a Blueberry Lemon Scone from Green Salmon for dinner. We will be sorry to leave here.
