ABOUT SEA PERCH RV RESORT: We had never stayed at this campground before, but we did visit it recently when scouting out parks. The Sea Perch RV Resort, just south of Yachats, Oregon was one of the best campgrounds we’d ever stayed at. The view of the Pacific Ocean was amazing; we were a few steps from the beach. It’s a small private campground and they are full most of the year, so if you want to come and get one of the 10 oceanfront campsites, book very early. The customer service is excellent, and they will work with you to make your stay great. We couldn’t get 4 nights in a row, but by changing campsites almost daily, we were able to get in. Oregon is very far for us to drive to from New York, obviously, but if we ever come to the Oregon coast again, we will book two weeks at this campground a year (at least) in advance.
There are a total of 27 RV campsites. The ten oceanfront sites are extra large. All campsites have a view of the Ocean, but the 10 oceanfront sites are full views with nothing in front of the RV except your own little patio. Right now, 4 of these 10 sites have patio chairs, two fire pits (one of them propane), and they are in the process of updating the other six sites’ patios. All sites in the campground have a picnic table. There is a walkway to the beach for everyone to use. Dogs love to play on the beach with their owners. You don’t hear traffic from Highway 101 because the Ocean is all you hear. There’s a green lawn with benches overlooking the Ocean. There also is a dog area & a play area with a community fire ring and horseshoes. All campsites come with Cable TV, free Wi-Fi, full hook-ups, and there is an office with a store in the lobby, and a clubhouse with a fitness center, billiard room, TV, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
We had three different campsites: #6, #4, and #24. Sites #1 thru #10 have the best views. The view from #24 was still nice, but not as good. The price ranges from $85 to $125 per night depending on the campsite and the time of year. Prime time is May through October. Check-in is after 1 p.m. Check-out is before noon.
