CHARLESTOWN, IN/LOUISVILLE, KY.
Day 33 – Our car was done by 10 a.m. but we waited until after 1 p.m. for the shuttle to pick Rob up to take him to get the Honda. We both worked on a couple of projects, so we didn’t mind the wait. The windy, rainy weather continued and with it came a cold front. The campground started filling up for the weekend.
Once we picked up the car (over $900 later), we drove to Louisville. Life in the big city, complete with traffic jams, but we still like this City. We picked Pam up and drove to El Mundo for some Margaritas and some relaxation. When we are here, we always go to El Mundo at least twice – the food is excellent, it’s a comfortable place, and the drink & appetizer deals are amazing (special prices before 5:30 p.m.). They had just opened this new location and it was nice. We had plenty of the $5 Margarita drink special and kicked back. The appetizer was called the Dippidy Do; it was small bowls of guacamole, chipotle/black bean dip, tomatillo salsa, and house chunky red salsa, and loads of tortilla chips for dipping. Excellent way to begin the feast! Rob and Pam split the LARGE Nachos; Pam and I each started with small salads (Rob helped eat); and I ordered the Mole Shrimp Enchiladas (Rob helped eat). Originally intending to get dessert, we all were way too full for that.
We went back to Pam’s house and visited awhile with her and the granddoggies. She has three small dogs – Ginji, Simone, and Max. They are very loving and very cute, but oh, so active compared to cats. She got them as rescues – they are lucky and she is lucky. We drove back to the RV in time to feed our cats, who asked why we smelled so funny. The high today was 46 degrees.
