GOING TO THE DOGS.
Day 34 – The high today was only 42 degrees; it was sunny. We hung around the RV in the morning, then went over to Louisville to see Pam and the pups.
We had a good visit and were able to spend more time with the dogs, both before and after dinner – what characters they are! The tiny one, Max, loves to be held like a baby and he LOVED Rob. Well, why not – since he held Max the entire time. Simone is very old and she is now deaf, blind, and has trouble with her hind legs, but she is very sweet and seems happy & healthy otherwise. We’ll all get old someday. Ginji is quite active and wants all the attention; she’s cute as can be. It certainly is different than having cats, though.
We had an early dinner at a fantastic restaurant called August Moon Chinese Bistro. It was not typical Chinese food, but was more high-quality Pacific Rim, we were told. Probably the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. We had an appetizer of Goat Cheese and Crab-stuffed Crispy Wontons with Chinese Salsa; it was out of this world! Then salads – Crispy Tiger Shrimp over Fresh Greens with grated Vegetables and an incredible Sweet Chili Ginger salad dressing. The entrees were Spicy Kung Pao with Crispy Tofu, Roasted Peanuts and Vegetables, and Mongolian Curry Shrimp and Vegetables with Rice. Really, really good! We went back to Pam’s house, visited a bit, and then Rob and I headed back to the RV to see our 4 lazy cats. Things were a little calmer there.
