Day 56 – It was still raining when we got up this morning, muddy with puddles of rain on the ground. A comfortable 69 degrees with a wonderful breeze, we were all happy. It looked like a lot of campers slept in their cars, their tents totally soaked.
Rob baked a loaf of bread. Business as usual here. We spent most of the day outside overlooking the St. Lawrence River. We went inside to make lunch and then again to cook dinner – Amish Egg Noodles mixed with a Mushroom Sherry Sauce (fresh mushrooms, Vidalia onions, garlic, and shallots cooked with Cream Sherry & sour cream) topped with shredded Asiago. The cats did what they do best – sleep! The high today was 81 degrees, sunny with a great breeze to keep the air moving.
