Day 116 – Another beautiful sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, cold & 38 degrees at 7 a.m.  When it warms up a little, we’ll head out to Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. These fall colors are amazing!

We had lunch, then left for the NWR. Moosehorn’s main division is located in Baring, about an hour from here. It’s quite large and offers a variety of habitat including an excellent Bald Eagle viewing platform. We went to the smaller Edmunds Division. It’s located near Cobscook Bay State Park & is only about ½ hour from here.

It was sunny with only a few light clouds & 58 degrees, a slight breeze. We drove through all the roads and took a hike on a trail, taking many pictures of the colorful trees. It was beautiful & we only encountered one other couple who were riding their bikes. Didn’t see much wildlife, the main focus was on the scenery. But we did see a Grouse, a Frog, Squirrels, and a Hawk.

We made it back to the RV before dark, and it was still warm enough to sit out in the tent. Had a glass of wine (me) and beer (Rob). Watched the tide come in & the Sea Gulls play.
