Day 227 – We got up by alarm again, this time at 6 a.m.  They said they’d be coming to get us at 7 a.m. After their breakfast, the poor kitties were closed back into the bedroom with the litter box, dry & moist food, and fresh water. Here we go again, they said.  We feel so bad.

At 7:20 they came and got us; we moved into a small waiting area & the RV was taken to a service bay. We unhappily worried about the girls all day, assuming they’d be mad at us all day, too. We left for ½ hour to go into town to pick up a quick lunch to go at Taco Bell (Ick). Other than that we just waited in this room until they were done for the day at 4 p.m. The technician said everything went well, they were at a good stopping place, and they’d continue at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning. They moved the RV back to the pad, and we walked out to set up again for the night. Beau, the dog, was right there to say HI again.

This time we knew what to expect, so after we hooked up and unpacked, we pulled down all the shades and let the cats out. It made a big difference to have the shades already down. They still knew the dog was there and they were a little huffy about it, but it worked out much better for them not to be surprised with him suddenly right in their faces. But they were NOT HAPPY CAMPERS, not at all. They’re nervous and jumpy and aren’t overwhelmingly glad to see us like they usually are. Sigh. In hindsight, if we’d known…….

One more day and they should have a nice, easy, not-so-bumpy ride in the RV and all will be forgiven. Hopefully.
