IT’S EARTH DAY! HOPE YOU TAKE THE TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES TODAY.
Day 224 – By noon, all of the people who were camping here had left (including the campground host who evidently had time off because no one was there when we went to pay for tonight). Later two trailers came in, but that was it. Very quiet and peaceful.
We went into Marseilles, the closest town to the State Park, looking for lunch. Grabbed sandwiches for today and the next few lunches. Then we went for a long bike ride on all the roads in the Park, got some good mileage & exercise in, and sat outside when we came back, to watch the activity on the Illinois River. It was a very nice day. The high was 68 degrees, partly cloudy, and with a great breeze coming in off the River. End of Week 32, Trip #3.
